Freshman Jahmi'us Ramsey poured in a career-high 27 points to lead five Texas Tech players in double-figure scoring as the No. 12 Red Raiders ran past Long Island University 96-66 on Sunday afternoon in Lubbock, Texas to remain undefeated.

Terrence Shannon, Jr. added 13 points for Texas Tech, with Davide Moretti hitting for 12 and Kyler Edwards and Kevin McCullar adding 10 for the Red Raiders in the win. Texas Tech owned a 41-25 edge in rebounds and matched its nation-leading season average with 22 assists.

Raiquan Clark scored 18 points to set the pace for the LIU (1-5) while Jashaun Agusto and Jermaine Jackson, Jr. added 13 and 10 points, respectively. Ty Flowers, who entered the game with four double-doubles and leading the nation in rebounding, was held to seven points and five rebounds.

The Red Raiders (5-0) shot 51.5 percent from the field and extended their non-conference home winning streak to 51 games with the victory. Texas Tech ended the contest with a 18-5 run, outscoring the Sharks 55-24 after halftime.

The Red Raiders trailed by a point at intermission and rallied to the lead early in the second half. Texas Tech was up just 57-51 six minutes at the 13:53 mark but then ran off 15 of the next 20 points over a five-minute stretch to take control of the game.

The Red Raiders had allowed just 57 points per game and 35.7 percent shooting from the floor over their first four games. All that went out the window in a wild first half as LIU led 42-41 at halftime thanks to 50 percent shooting from the floor, with Clark scoring 13 points and Agosto hitting for 10.

LIU shot 42 percent overall.

Texas Tech, who trailed at halftime for the first time this year, was paced by Ramsey's nine points in the half.

The Red Raiders entered the contest averaging 89 points per outing and reached that number with about three minutes to play.
