Kristian Doolittle had 19 points and Brady Manek scored five straight to help the Oklahoma Sooners overcome a late deficit and remain undefeated with a 75-70 win over pesky William & Mary on Monday night in Norman, Okla.

With the Sooners (4-0) trailing 68-65, Manek hit a tying 3-pointer with 2:48 left. He gave the Sooners a 70-68 lead with a dunk 34 seconds later. He finished with 10 points.

A basket from Austin Reaves made it 72-68 with 44 seconds to go before 6-foot-10 William & Mary star Nathan Knight scored to make it a two-point game. Oklahoma converted 3 of 4 free throws after that to hang on for the victory, despite shooting 41.8 percent from the field, including 3 of 19 from 3-point range.

Reaves had 18 points and nine rebounds.

Andy Van Vliet added 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Tribe, who were trying to go 5-0 for the first time since 1948-49.

Knight, who averaged 18.5 points and 11.8 rebounds entering the game, poured in 30 points and went 13 of 18 from the floor. He scored William & Mary's first seven points of the second half to give his team a 46-39 lead.

Oklahoma, after missing its first 12 3-point attempts, got back-to-back 3s from Manek and Reaves to get within one. The hosts took their first lead, 47-46, at 13:08 in the second half on a pair of Reaves' free throws.

William & Mary, though, went on an 11-4 run to go up 57-51 neat the halfway mark of the second. The Sooners scored six straight to tie at 57, and the game remained close before Oklahoma closed on a 10-2 run.

The Tribe shot 48.4 percent during a first half in which they led by 11 points on three occasions.

Oklahoma made up most of the deficit thanks to a pair of 5-0 runs late in the half. Doolittle's dunk in the final seconds left the Sooners down 39-37 at the break.

This contest was part of the Hall of Fame Classic, which concludes next week in Kansas City, Mo.
