Kaleb Wesson had 15 points and 11 rebounds as Ohio State defeated Indiana 68-59 in Big Ten play at Columbus, Ohio on Saturday.

C.J. Walker had 14 points and Justin Ahrens came off the bench to make 3 of 5 3-pointers as part of his 11 points for the Buckeyes (14-7, 4-6 Big Ten), who have won two straight.

Devonte Green scored 13 points and Rob Phinisee had 11 for the Hoosiers (16-7, 5-6), losers of three straight and four of six.

Wesson, who had a combined 13 points in his previous two games, hit a bucket with 12:38 remaining in the game to give him his final points and a 45-34 lead.

Wesson's older brother, Andre, made a 3-pointer with 10 minutes left to make it 51-37, tying the Buckeyes' biggest lead to that point. Ahrens extended the margin to 58-40 on consecutive triples with eight minutes left.

Ohio State was without freshman guard D.J. Carton, a former five-star recruit from Bettendorf, Iowa. He took an indefinite leave of absence on Thursday, announcing through his Twitter account that he has "been suffering with mental health issues for a couple of years."

Carton is third on the team in scoring (10.4 points per game) and averages 3.0 assists and 2.8 rebounds.

Indiana leading scorer Justin Smith (11.6 points per game) scored his first points on a jumper with 17:03 to play in the game. He had five points, hitting 1 of 4 field goals and making all three foul shots.

Indiana was fortunate to be trailing 31-22 at the half after shooting 40.0 percent (8 for 20) from the floor. The Hoosiers finished at 45.2 percent.

The Buckeyes were poised to take a double-digit lead into the break until a turnover by Andre Wesson enabled Green to score his only three points of the half -- a bank shot from just past half court at the buzzer.

The Buckeyes shot 46.4 percent from the field.

Ohio State plays at Michigan on Tuesday. The Hoosiers host Purdue on Feb. 1.
