Reggie Perry had 16 of his 22 points in the first half, and Mississippi State cruised to a 91-59 win over Georgia on Saturday night in Starkville, Miss.

Perry -- the SEC's leading rebounder entering the game -- added 12 rebounds and six assists, recording his 10th double-double of the season. Tyson Carter scored 18 points, and Robert Woodard II added 17 points and seven rebounds for Mississippi State (11-6, 2-3 SEC).

Mississippi State made 61.7 percent from the field on the night and out-rebounded Georgia 40-22, winning its second straight after three consecutive losses. It was the Bulldogs' largest win of the season in terms of point differential, while it was Georgia's third loss in four games

Anthony Edwards led Georgia (11-6, 1-3) with 19 points. Toumani Camara and Rayshaun Hammonds added 10 points each.

A Nick Weatherspoon 3-point jumper just before the halftime buzzer gave Mississippi State a 42-31 lead after 20 minutes. Perry had 16 points and five rebounds at halftime, and the 11-point lead was the Bulldogs' largest of the first half.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 10-2 lead before Georgia went on a 13-4 run to take a 15-14 edge on a Camara layup with 12:52 to play. But that was Mississippi State's last lead of the game.

Perry dunked off an assist from D.J. Stewart after Stewart's steal with 16:15 left in the second half, giving the Bulldogs a 48-33 lead.

Edwards scored the next seven Georgia points to make it 51-40. Mississippi State responded with seven unanswered points of its own to take control of the game for good.

Already up 16 points, an 11-0 run sealed Mississippi State's win, during which Georgia went 3 minutes and 41 seconds without scoring.
