Mac McClung had 25 points and Omer Yurtseven recorded his fourth double-double in as many games with 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead Georgetown to a 91-83 victory over Georgia State on Sunday at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

Josh LeBlanc finished with 12 points, James Akinjo had 11 (all in the second half) and Jamorko Pickett added 10 for Georgetown (3-1). McClung made all 11 of his free-throw attempts. The Hoyas were 40 of 51 from the foul line and Georgia State was 20 of 24.

Georgia State (1-3) was led by Corey Allen's 21 points and Josh Linder's 17 points and 11 rebounds. Damon Wilson and Justin Roberts finished with 15 points apiece.

Both teams rallied back from eight-point deficits in the first half to keep the game close. Overall, there were eight lead changes and five ties.

After Georgetown took a 19-11 lead with 12:56 left in the first half, Georgia State went on an 18-2 run to take a 29-21 advantage with 5:27 to go.

Georgia State led 39-33 at halftime after shooting 51.7 percent, compared to Georgetown's 30.3 percent mark. Allen and Linder each had 12 points and shot a combined 8 of 14 in the first half.

After Akinjo tied the game at 43 on a layup with 16:52 in regulation, neither team led by more than three points until Akinjo sank a jumper with 10:20 left to give Georgetown a 61-56 lead.

The lead grew to 68-59 on two free throws by McClung with 7:04 left. Allen responded with a layup on the next possession, ending a field-goal drought of 4:19 for Georgia State.

The Panthers got no closer than six points after that, with Georgetown gaining separation with an 82-71 lead with 3:01 left in the game.
