Carsen Edwards scored 25 points to lead No. 14 Purdue to an 86-51 rout of Ohio State on Saturday at West Lafayette, Ind.

Purdue (22-7) moved into sole possession of the Big Ten lead at 15-3. The Boilermakers lead sixth-ranked Michigan State and No. 9 Michigan, both 14-4, by one game. Each team has two games remaining. Michigan State plays host to Michigan on March 9.

Edwards hit 9 of 16 shots, including 4 of 8 3-point shots. Matt Haarms added 12 points and Aaron Wheeler 10 for Purdue. In their final home game, seniors Ryan Cline and Grady Eifert each scored eight points.

Freshman Jaedon LeDee led the Buckeyes (18-11, 8-10 Big Ten) with 16 points. Fellow freshman Justin Ahrens, who scored 29 in the previous outing, was scoreless, missing his only shot.

Kaleb Wesson, who was averaging a team-high 14.6 points for Ohio State, did not play and has been suspended indefinitely. He is expected to return this season, Buckeyes coach Chris Holtmann said.

Purdue completely dominated from the start, leading by as many as 39 in the second half.

The Boilermakers sank 55.9 percent of their shots. In contrast, the Buckeyes made just 33.3 percent.

Purdue held a 35-23 rebounding edge.

Edwards scored 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting in the first half as the Boilermakers led 48-20 at halftime.

Purdue shot 57.6 percent in the first half while holding Ohio State to 27.3 percent.

The Boilermakers made 8 of 14 3-point attempts while Ohio State was 2 of 13.

Purdue used an 11-0 run to push the lead to 32-13. From there, the Boilermakers kept the pressure on.

The Boilermakers swept the regular season vs. Ohio State, previously knocking off the Buckeyes 79-67 on Jan. 23.

The Boilermakers close the regular season with road games at Minnesota on Tuesday and Northwestern on March 9.
