When: 7:00 PM ET, Monday, December 19, 2016
Where: BMO Harris Bradley Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Andrew Rowsey knocked down six 3-pointers and finished with 22 points to lead Marquette to a 78-65 victory over St. Francis (Pa.) Tuesday night at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee.

The Golden Eagles hit 13 of 29 3-pointers, but after starting 6-for-7 from beyond the arc, hit just one of their next nine.

Down 11 points after shooting 35.5 percent in the first half, the Red Flash heated up after the break and cut the deficit to six with 3:36 to play.

Sam Hauser answered with a 3 for Marquette and Josh Nebo hit a jumper to get the Red Flash within seven. But JaJuan Johnson made a second-chance roller to make it a nine-point game with just over two minutes to play, kicking off an 8-0 run for Marquette that included another 3 from Hauser and Rowsey's sixth of the game to close it out.

Isiah Blackmon and Jamaal King each scored 18 each to lead the Red Flash, who shot 38 percent from the field and made 10 of 20 3-pointers but got only eight points from the bench and committed 17 turnovers.

The Golden Eagles shot 45 percent from the floor and also got 18 points from Haanif Cheatham and 11 each from Hauser, Luke Fischer and Johnson, who added six assists.

Marquette was playing shorthanded as Katin Reinhardt was unavailable because of a lower leg injury and Markus Howard sat out while undergoing concussion protocol.

The Golden Eagles were also without Traci Carter, who missed the team's last three games with an injury then announced over the weekend that he would transfer.
