Boston College might get used to this winning thing.

After snapping a 20-game losing streak with a victory on Tuesday, the Eagles (2-1) now have cobbled together a two-game winning streak after defeating Stony Brook 82-75 on Sunday in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Jerome Robinson led four Boston College players in double figures with 22 points. Robinson was a one-man wrecking crew, producing eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block.

Tyrell Sturdivant led the Seawolves (0-2), the defending champs of the American East, with a game-high 26 points.

Boston College tasted victory for the first time this season when it beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 73-57, and on Sunday the Eagles were on cruise control after taking a 46-30 halftime lead.

Stony Brook showed little signs of life for most of the second half. But the Eagles stalled and the Seawolves caught fire with 5:03 left, ironically with Boston College leading 73-57.

Sturdivant scored 11 points as Stony Brook went on 13-1 run to make things more than a little uncomfortable for Boston College. Sturdivant converted a three-point play to make the score 74-70 with 53.9 seconds left.

Jordan Chatman came off the bench to sink two free throws to give Boston College a little breathing room.

Stony Brook's Lucas Woodhouse answered with a bank shot with 38.2 seconds to play to make the score 76-72. But Woodhouse fouled out and Robinson connected on two more free throws to repel the Seawolves.

Heading into the game, Boston College was among the worst free-throw shooting teams in the country, having made only 18 of 36. Their poor shooting from the foul line almost cost them again -- they connected on only 23 of 36 (63.9 percent).

The Seawolves' inefficiency at the free-throw line saved the Eagles. First-year coach Jeff Boals' squad made only 15 of 23 (65.2 percent).

Boston College also lost the turnover battle 15-7 but was able to persevere thanks to a sizable advantage in field-goal percentage.

The Eagles connected on 27 of 50 from the field (54 percent) while holding the Seawolves to 37 percent (27 of 73).
