Freshman forward Robert Williams hit an interior basket with 20 seconds left, helping Texas A&M complete a furious late comeback and beat Georgia 63-62 Saturday at Reed Arena in College Station, Texas.

Georgia failed to get a shot off on its final possession on a controversial finish that included a clock error.

Williams finished with 18 points for the Aggies, who snapped a two-game losing streak by scoring the game's final 10 points.

Junior forward Yante Maten led the Bulldogs with 19 points, and senior point guard J.J. Frazier finished with 11 points.

The Bulldogs (12-7, 4-3 SEC) led for almost the entire game and were up nine with two minutes to play. But they struggled when Texas A&M turned up the pressure in the final minutes.

Georgia committed four consecutive turnovers in the backcourt in the final minute and watched what looked like an impressive road win turn into an ugly loss that could turn out to be costly come tournament selection time.

Texas A&M (10-8, 2-5) made a run midway through the second half and cut the deficit to 56-50 on a free throw by sophomore guard Admon Gilder with seven minutes to play. Gilder finished with 11 points.

Sophomore forward Tyler Davis, the Aggies' leading scorer, missed his first six shots, before getting free for a dunk five minutes into the second half. Davis finished with eight points and eight rebounds.

Georgia closed out the first half with a 10-0 run, capped by freshman guard Tyree Crump's 3-pointer that sent the Bulldogs into halftime with a 39-29 lead.

The Aggies head to Ole Miss on Wednesday, before stepping out of conference to take on No. 7 West Virginia on the road.

The Bulldogs return home face Alabama and Texas, before traveling to No. 5 Kentucky on Jan 31.
