Forward Yante Mante and guard J.J. Frazier shook off slow starts to combine for 31 points and lead Georgia to its second straight victorty over rival Georgia Tech, 60-43 on Tuesday at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta.

Maten didn't score his first basket until 7:45 was left in the first half. Maten, who averages 21.5 points, finished with 16 points on 5-for-12 shooting and had seven rebounds.

Frazier, who scored a career-high 35 points against the Yellow Jackets a year ago, didn't get his first basket until 11:36 in the first half. He finished with 15 on 5-for-13 shooting, but only 1-for-6 on 3-pointers.

The Bulldogs (8-3) also got 11 points and seven rebounds from Derek Ogbeide. Georgia extended its winning streak to three games.

Georgia Tech (6-4) was led by Ben Lammers with 10 points and eight rebounds. The Yellow Jackets had their two-game winning streak broken.

The Bulldogs shot only 37.1 percent from the field, but outrebounded Georgia Tech 13-5 in offensive rebounds.

The Yellow Jackets shot 34.6 percent from the field and only 1-for-10 on 3-pointers. It was the fewest points scored by Georgia Tech this season.

Georgia led 27-18 at halftime, despite shooting only 31.4 percent from the field and committing eight turnovers. The Bulldogs were still better than the Yellow Jackets, who shot 26.9 percent and gave the ball away 10 times, which led to eight Georgia points.
