Kansas State had one of its best shooting nights of the season in a 79-54 victory over TCU on Wednesday, which was Senior Night at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kam.

Kansas State (16-14, 5-12 Big 12) shot 56.5 percent from the field, including 10-for-19 from 3-point range.

The Wildcats were led by Barry Brown with 15 points. He was joined in double figures by Justin Edwards with 12 points, Wesley Iwundu with 11 and Dean Wade with 10. Kansas State got scoring from 11 players.

The Wildcats were on top by 19 at the half and pulled away in the second half, leading by as many as a season-best 31 points.

TCU (11-19, 2-15) got a team-high 11 points from Chauncey Collins.

As impressive as the Wildcats' offense was, their defense was equally good. They held the Horned Frogs to 33.3 percent shooting (18-for-54), including 2-for-14 from 3-point range.

The eighth- and ninth-ranked scoring teams in the 10-team Big 12 both had trouble early on. TCU missed its first three shots, while Kansas State committed turnovers on its first three possessions. TCU finally got on the board with two buckets before Kansas State scored the next 14 points.

When the shots started falling for Kansas State, they came from everywhere. The Wildcats, who came into the game last in the conference in 3-point shooting by a large margin, hit their first four 3-point attempts. They finished the half 6-for-9 from behind the arc. They also started 14-for-16 from the field and finished the first 20 minutes 16-for-21 (76 percent, the seventh-best shooting half in school history).
