Senior guard Stefan Moody scored 15 of his 28 points in a four-minute span of the second half as Mississippi struggled with winless Southeast Missouri before posting a 75-64 victory in nonconference play at Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Moody, the SEC's leading scorer, began his pivotal stretch with two free throws with 7:47 to play. He ended it with his third 3-pointer during the span with 3:51 to play to give the Rebels (7-2) an 11-point lead while topping 20 points for the fourth straight game.

Freshman forward Marcanvis Hymon collected a season-best 14 rebounds for Ole Miss. Junior forward Sebastian Saiz had 11 rebounds and senior forward Tomasz Gielo added 10 points for the Rebels, who shot just 34.7 percent from the field but recorded a 52-36 rebounding edge.

Junior guard Antonius Cleveland scored 25 points to lead the Redhawks (0-9). Senior guard Isiah Jones had 15 points and junior forward Trey Kellum added 10.

The Redhawks trailed by 10 at the half but used one 3-pointer by freshman guard Eric McGill and two by Jones in the first 91 seconds of the second half to move within 38-34. Another 3-pointer by Jones allowed Southeast Missouri to trail 50-48 with 7:21 remaining before Moody scored the game's next 10 points.

After Moody concluded his rampage to make it 63-52, the Redhawks pulled within six points on three occasions. But Gielo's jumper with 42 seconds left and four ensuing free throws enabled the Rebels to hold on.

Southeast Missouri didn't trail over the first 11-plus minutes and Ole Miss took its first lead at 19-17 on a 3-pointer by Gielo with 8:24 left in the half. The Rebels boosted their lead to 13 on a jumper by senior forward Anthony Perez with 2:26 to play and eventually took a 35-25 lead into the break.
