Ole Miss 71, Mississippi State 65: Stefan Moody drained a personal-best eight 3-pointers en route to a career-high 29 points as the visiting Rebels completed the season sweep over the Bulldogs for the first time since 1998.

Sebastian Saiz tallied eight points while Moody added six rebounds and four steals for Ole Miss (18-8, 9-4 SEC), which has won seven of its last eight games. Terence Smith contributed eight points and five assists off the bench for the Rebels, who turned the ball over six times.

Craig Sword scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds for Mississippi State (12-14, 5-8), which finished with 13 turnovers compared to nine assists. Gavin Ware collected 13 points and six rebounds while Travis Daniels had 12 points for the Bulldogs.

Moody connected from beyond the arc and Dwight Coleby knocked down a jumper as Ole Miss pulled ahead 51-43 before Sword scored six points as part of an 11-1 burst to put Mississippi State back in front 54-52. Moody knocked down three straight 3-pointers to help the Rebels reclaim a 61-57 lead and M.J. Rhett's late dunk put the exclamation point on their first victory in Starkville since Jan. 31, 2009.

Sword and Daniels buried back-to-back 3-pointers as Mississippi State sped out to 25-16 lead before LaDarius White's 3-pointer sparked an 8-0 spurt to trim the deficit to 26-24. The Bulldogs took a 32-27 advantage into intermission but Martavious Newby scored five straight points as part of a 12-2 run to put Ole Miss on top 39-34.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Ole Miss went 12-of-29 from 3-point range while Mississippi State finished 5-of-19 . … The Rebels have won the last three meetings. … Bulldogs F Roquez Johnson left early in the first half after injuring his head in a fall and did not return.
