Stanford 70, USC 62: Stefan Nastic scored 15 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked two shots as the host Cardinal pulled away late in the second half to remain in a third-place tie in the Pac-12 Conference.

Chasson Randle scored 17 points, Anthony Brown and Roscoe Allen each scored 11 points and Marcus Allen registered his first career double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds for Stanford (16-7, 7-4), which snapped a two-game losing streak. The Cardinal finished with a 50-35 rebounding advantage and had 17 offensive rebounds which led to a 20-10 edge in second chance points.

Katin Reinhardt scored 19 points, including 5-of-7 3-pointers, to lead USC (9-14, 1-10). Jordan McLaughlin finished with 18 points, eight assists and five steals for the Trojans, who have lost eight straight games since a 71-57 home win over Cal on Jan. 7.

USC, which entered the contest last in the Pac-12 in 3-point shooting (31 percent), connected on 8-of-14 treys in the first half while building a 39-33 lead. Reinhardt and McLaughlin both scored 14 points and each knocked down four 3-pointers, including one apiece during a half-ending 10-0 run by the Trojans.

Reinhardt's 3-pointer with 8:24 remaining gave the Trojans their final lead, 55-53, before the Cardinal went on a 12-4 run over the next five minutes capped by a Nastic jumper. The Trojans got as close as 65-61 down the stretch after a Malik Martin fast-break dunk but Brown sealed the win when he sank all three free throws after getting fouled by Elijah Stewart on a 3-pointer with 33.5 seconds left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Stanford, which entered the game ranked fifth nationally in 3-point shooting (41.1), finished 6-of-23 beyond the arc. ... McLaughlin and Reinhardt played despite missing USC's morning shootaround with the flu. ... USC has dropped 17 of its last 18 conference road games games and is 0-6 this season.
