Codi Miller-McIntyre recorded 23 points and five assists as the host Demon Deacons nearly blew a 21-point halftime lead en route to gaining a split of the season series with the Wolfpack.

Devin Thomas registered 16 points and 10 rebounds for Wake Forest (11-12, 3-7 ACC), which shot 56.9 percent from the field and 10-of-20 from 3-point range. Cornelius Hudson scored 12 points and Darius Leonard added 10 to help the Deacons win their second straight following a four-game losing streak.

Anthony Barber recorded a career-high 28 points, but could not prevent North Carolina State (14-10, 5-6) from losing for the fourth time in five games. Trevor Lacey scored 16 of his 19 points in the second half and Ralston Turner added 12 for the Wolfpack, who could not overcome 31.4 percent shooting in the first half.

N.C. State erupted for a 22-4 run over a five-plus minute span to make it 76-71 with 4:21 remaining with Lacey contributing eight points before Madison Jones stole a pass and converted 1-of-2 free throws to give Wake Forest a 81-73 lead with 2:21 left. The Deacons missed three of their first six free throws in the final minute and Barber's three-point play with 11.2 seconds to go cut the deficit to 87-84 before Hudson sank a free throw and Miller-McIntyre sealed it with a steal.

The Demon Deacons shot 65.5 percent from the field and were 9-for-15 from 3-point range prior to the break en route to a 51-30 lead at intermission. Miller-McIntyre and Leonard contributed eight points apiece in the opening 10-plus minutes of the second half as Wake Forest increased its lead to 74-51 with 9:47 to go.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Thomas is the only ACC player averaging a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds). ... Jones recorded seven points, eight assists and zero turnovers, and leads the ACC in assists-to-turnover ratio at 4.3 in conference games. ... Wake Forest, which recorded all 11 of the game's blocks, last scored 50 points in the first half when it totaled 50 in a 92-85 victory over Boston College on Feb. 10, 2010.
