Forte shot 4-of-7 from 3-point range while Hickey was 2-of-5 and freshman Tavarius Shine came off the bench and made 3-of-3 from long range en route to a season-high 11 points.

Shine added a pair of long-range shots shortly thereafter before Forte made another with roughly four minutes to go to keep the cushion at 10 points. When Baylor got within seven on Gathers' dunk with 1:22 left, Forte and Le'Bryan Nash responded with two foul shots apiece to wrap up the victory.
