SMU 80, UC Santa Barbara 73 (OT): Keith Frazier had 20 points as the host Mustangs pulled away in the extra period after the Gauchos rallied late in regulation.

Yanick Moreira added 15 points and five rebounds and Ryan Manuel had 12 points for SMU (6-3). Leading scorer Nic Moore had three points and did not return after suffering a bruised knee early in the second half the second half.

Michael Bryson had 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead UC Santa Barbara (4-4), which hit 10-of-30 3-pointers. Alan Williams, who entered averaging a nation-leading 13.3 rebounds, was held to a season-low nine points and eight rebounds.

SMU went nearly seven minutes without a field goal after Moore left and the Gauchos took a 54-53 lead with 6 1/2 minutes to go after Gabe Vincent, T.J. Taylor and Bryson combined for five 3-pointers during an 18-3 run. Moreira scored seven straight points to give SMU a 65-59 lead with less than two minutes left, but Taylor and Vincent hit 3-pointers in the final 20 seconds to force overtime.

The Mustangs scored eight straight points - including a dunk from Manuel - to take control in overtime and hit 3-of-4 free throws in the final 30 seconds. The Gauchos, who hit 9-of-17 3-pointers during their second-half rally, missed all six of their 3s in the extra period.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Moore, who entered the game averaging 15.8 points, got hit trying to go around a screen and limped to the bench about three minutes into the second half. ... The Mustangs jumped to a 24-9 lead with 11 minutes left in the first half after a 12-2 run that featured 3-pointers from Frazier and Moore. ...
