TCU 66, Ole Miss 54: Karviar Shepherd scored 10 of his 14 points in the second half and added nine rebounds as the visiting Horned Frogs topped the Rebels in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

Brandon Parrish knocked down all three of his 3-point attempts en route to 11 points and Kyan Anderson collected 11 points and five assists for TCU (8-0), which held its fifth straight opponent to less than 55 points. Amric Fields added 10 points off the bench for the Horned Frogs.

Stefan Moody struggled to 12 points on 3-of-11 shooting for Ole Miss (5-2), which shot 29.8 percent from the field. Rebels leading scorer Jarvis Summers was limited to eight points on 2-of-12 shooting.

Ole Miss shot 25 percent in the first half but made 10-of-12 free throws to keep it within 27-24 at the break. Moody’s free throws opening the second half made it a one-point game before Shepherd and Williams scored four points apiece during a 10-2 burst to stretch the lead to 37-28.

The Rebels were within five points with 13 minutes left but went more than eight minutes without a field goal as the Horned Frogs pulled away. Fields nailed a 3-pointer to make it a 58-39 gap with just over five minutes left and TCU had no trouble holding off Ole Miss the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: TCU freshman G Chauncey Collins went for a rebound with 8:43 left and was knocked on the chin before falling backward and hitting his head on the court.
