Miami (Fla.) 60, Arizona State 57: Davon Reed scored 19 points and James Kelly added 11 as the Hurricanes edged the Sun Devils in the fifth-place game of the Wooden Legacy in Anaheim, Calif.

Garrius Adams collected nine points and nine rebounds for Miami (5-3), which trailed by as many as eight midway through the second half. The Hurricanes won their second straight following a 71-63 overtime loss to George Washington in Thursday's opening round.

Jordan Bachynski scored a season-high 20 points and matched a career high with 15 rebounds for Arizona State (7-2), which shot 31 percent in the second half after shooting 50 percent before the break. Jermaine Marshall added 14 points, including three 3-pointers.

Rion Brown’s dunk put Miami ahead 59-57 with 34 seconds left, and Adams converted one of two free throws to put Miami ahead by three with 2.3 seconds to play. Miami intercepted Arizona State’s long inbound pass to secure the victory.

Arizona State Jahii Carson, who entered the game averaging 21.8 points, suffered a right ankle sprain near the end of the first half and finished with eight points while shooting 2-of-14 from the field. The Sun Devils shot 8-of-21 from 3-point range and missed four of their 13 shots from the foul line.
