UCLA 83, USC 73: Norman Powell scored 17 of his season-high 21 points in the second half and Jordan Adams added 17 points and eight rebounds as the visiting Bruins completed a season sweep of the Trojans.

Kyle Anderson contributed 15 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists as UCLA (18-5, 7-3 Pac-12) won for the fourth time in five games. Travis Wear added 11 points as the Bruins defeated USC for the seventh time in eight meetings.

Byron Wesley had 27 points and eight rebounds to pace the Trojans (10-13, 1-9). Pe’Shon Howard added 14 points and seven assists and J.T. Terrell scored 13 points for USC, which has dropped four straight games and nine of its last 10.

Powell scored seven points during a 9-0 run that saw UCLA open up an eight-point second-half lead and later connected on a 3-pointer to make it 62-47 with just less than 13 minutes remaining. The Trojans meandered to within 80-73 on Howard’s driving hoop with 48.1 seconds left but didn’t score again.

Wesley scored 18 first-half points as USC shot 59.3 percent from the field and led by as many as 10 before settling for a 41-35 halftime lead. The Bruins scored the first 10 of the second half before the Trojans scored five straight for a 46-45 edge with under 17 minutes to play.
