No. 2 Syracuse 91, No. 16 Duke 89 (OT): C.J. Fair scored a career-high 28 points and Jerami Grant recorded eight of his career-high 24 points in overtime as the host Orange nipped the Blue Devils in front of the largest on-campus crowd in college basketball history.

With 35,446 in attendance at the Carrier Dome, Syracuse (21-0, 8-0 ACC) defeated Duke (17-5, 6-3) in just the fifth all-time meeting in a thrilling back-and-forth game that pitted the two active coaching wins leaders in Division I. The game also featured a matchup of two of the nation's elite freshmen, with Duke's Jabari Parker scoring 15 points and grabbing nine rebounds before fouling out with 1:42 left in regulation and Syracuse's Tyler Ennis scoring 14 points, including the decisive free throws late in overtime.

Trevor Cooney scored 14 points while Grant added 12 rebounds and Ennis dished out nine assists for the Orange, who improved to 21-0 for the first time in school history. Rasheed Sulaimon scored 16 points, including the tying 3-pointer at the second-half buzzer, and Amile Jefferson, Rodney Hood and Andre Dawkins chipped in 14 points apiece for the Blue Devils, who had a five-game winning streak halted.

With Parker on the bench with four fouls, Tyler Thornton made three 3-pointers in less than two minutes before Parker returned to the court and made a layup to tie it at 70 with less than four minutes left in regulation. Sulaimon made a tying 3-pointer and was fouled on the shot with 48 seconds to go, but missed the free throw before redeeming himself shortly thereafter when he took an inbounds pass, sped to the top of the arc and drained the tying 3-pointer at the horn.

Dawkins put Duke ahead twice in overtime with a 3-pointer as the Blue Devils played the entire extra session with a small lineup after Parker and Jefferson fouled out. But Syracuse rallied behind Grant, who had three dunks and two free throws in OT, and Ennis, who made two foul shots with the Orange down by one with six seconds left, before the hosts survived when Quinn Cook's off-balance jumper missed the mark at the buzzer.
