Mississippi 75, South Carolina 74: Anthony Perez scored a career-high 22 points to help the visiting Rebels keep the Gamecocks winless in SEC play.

Marshall Henderson scored 16 of his 19 points in the second half for Mississippi (12-5, 3-1 SEC), which made 28-of-37 free throws, but missed its last three to give the hosts a last-second chance. Jarvis Summers chipped in 19 points and a game-high six assists for the Rebels.

Sindarius Thornwell scored 24 points and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds for South Carolina (7-10, 0-4), which has lost its last three games by an average of four points. Laimonas Chatkevicius added 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting, but the Gamecocks finished with a 36.7 percent mark from the floor.

There were several ties and lead changes throughout the second half before Ole Miss took the lead for good when Perez made a 3-pointer with two minutes left and Summers followed with two foul shots for a 73-68 advantage. The Rebels then went cold from the line, fouled Brenton Williams shooting a 3-pointer and turned the ball over with 1.8 seconds left, but Thornwell's leaning 3-point try at the buzzer was short.

Henderson hit a 3-pointer just over a minute into the contest to give Ole Miss a 5-0 lead, but struggled for the rest of the first half, missing his final six shots to help South Carolina surge ahead, 37-27, at the break. The senior sharpshooter bounced back to score seven straight Rebels points in less than a minute early in the second half and nailed a triple with 14 minutes left to give Mississippi a 48-47 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Henderson made at least one 3-pointer for the 50th consecutive game, extending his school record. ... Gamecocks G Duane Notice was whistled for a technical foul with 12 minutes left. ... Rebels F Sebastian Saiz fouled out with just under seven minutes to go.
