Connecticut 83, No. 17 Memphis 73:
DeAndre Daniels collected 23 points and a career-high 11 rebounds as the visiting Huskies knocked off the Tigers.

Shabazz Napier added 17 points and 10 assists for Connecticut (14-3, 2-2 AAC), which went 7-of-7 from the floor and 6-of-6 from the free-throw line in the closing minutes. Lasan Kromah went 5-of-5 from the field en route to 13 points as the Huskies picked up back-to-back wins after dropping their first two in conference play.

Michael Dixon Jr. scored 16 points off the bench to lead Memphis (12-4, 3-2). Austin Nichols added 13 points and Joe Jackson struggled to 11 on 4-of-14 shooting as the Tigers dropped the opener of a four-game homestand.

The schools traded leads in the second half, with Connecticut pulling ahead 61-54 on Tyler Olander’s jumper with over eight minutes to play. Memphis responded with an 8-1 run to knot it at 62, but Napier scored on each of the next two possessions to put the Huskies back in front.

Kromah added back-to-back baskets over Dixon to push it out to 70-63 with just under three minutes left. Connecticut’s biggest lead to that point came at 73-65 after Daniels' 3-pointer with just over two minutes left, and the Huskies held off a late charge.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Memphis has lost two straight at home for the first time since 2005. … The Huskies shot 57.1 percent from the field and 11-of-13 from the free-throw line. … Tigers F Shaq Goodwin scored 10 points - his third straight game in double figures.
