Codi Miller-McIntyre made a layup with 4.9 seconds to go as the Demon Deacons edged the visiting Wolfpack.

Miller-McIntyre was 7-for-11 from the floor and scored 20 points to lead four Demon Deacons (12-5, 2-2 ACC) in double figures. Devin Thomas tallied 16 points Arnaud-William Adala Moto notched a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds and shot 11-of-14 from the free-throw line.

T.J. Warren led North Carolina State (12-5, 2-2 ACC) with 22 points, while Ralston Turner added 11 and Jordan Vandenburg tallied 10 for the Wolfpack. North Carolina State was 2-for-13 from 3-point range, with Turner hitting the only two from outside.

Desmond Lee gave the Wolfpack the lead with 10 seconds to go on two free throws, but Miller-McIntyre streaked down the floor to restore the Wake Forest advantage with his basket. Anthony Barber launched a desperation heave that hit the top of the backboard as the Demon Deacons grabbed the win.

Wake Forest used a 15-4 spurt in the opening minutes to gain an early nine-point advantage, but the Wolfpack fought back to take a 43-35 lead to halftime. The Demon Deacons tied the game at 54 on a Tyler Cavanaugh free throw with less than 11 minutes to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wake Forest had lost six of the previous seven meetings. … The Wolfpack won the rebounding battle 34-25. … G Madison Jones recorded seven assists for Wake Forest.
