No. 22 Memphis 79, Temple 69:
Shaq Goodwin tallied a career-high 23 points and also grabbed 11 rebounds while Michael Dixon Jr. added 15 points off the bench as the visiting Tigers pulled away for an American Athletic Conference win.

Joe Jackson scored all 10 of his points in the second half and added six assists and four steals for Memphis (12-3, 3-1 American). Chris Crawford collected nine points, eight rebounds and eight assists for the Tigers, who owned a 45-28 edge on the boards.

Dalton Pepper scored 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting and Quenton DeCosey added 18 points for Temple (5-9, 0-4), which has lost four straight and six of its last seven. Will Cummings, who was cleared to play after missing the second half of the Owls' previous game with concussion-like symptoms, finished with 11 points.

The Tigers broke open a 51-all game with an 8-0 spurt midway through the second half, as Dixon and Crawford hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Dixon's steal and feed led to a Jackson dunk. Memphis stretched it out to 10 a few minutes later and the Owls didn't get closer than five the rest of the way.

Memphis raced to an 11-2 lead in the first 3 1/2 minutes but couldn't keep up its hot shooting as Temple quickly clawed back. The Owls went up 37-36 at the half on Pepper's 3-pointer in the final seconds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Memphis has won 15 straight conference road games – its last 12 in Conference USA and its first three this season. … DeCosey has scored in double digits in every game this season. … Temple got just seven points on 2-of-6 shooting from its reserves, while Memphis' bench contributed 21 points.
