Georgia 70, No. 21 Missouri 64: Charles Mann led the way with 18 points as the Bulldogs overcame a five-point overtime deficit to upset the host Tigers in the SEC opener for both teams.

Nemanja Djurisic chipped in 16 and hit four of five 3-pointers as the Bulldogs picked up the win despite shooting 13-of-26 from the free-throw line. Kenny Gaines added 11 while Brandon Morris had 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds for Georgia (7-6, 1-0).

Jabari Brown led Missouri (12-2, 0-1) with 19, while Earnest Ross added 15. The Tigers shot a season-low 39.3 percent for the field and saw their nation-leading 26-game home winning streak snapped.

The Tigers opened up a 63-58 lead in the extra frame behind buckets from Ross and Brown, but seven straight from Djurisic gave the Bulldogs a lead they would not relinquish. Gaines hit two key free throws down the stretch — a contrast from the free-throw shooting that plagued the Bulldogs throughout.

A late 11-0 run sent Georgia to halftime with a 30-25 advantage, but Missouri held the Bulldogs scoreless for over seven minutes early in the second to establish its own lead midway through the frame. A late surge from the Bulldogs gave them a 56-53 advantage with under two minutes to play, but two missed free throws from Mann allowed Jordan Clarkson to nail a 3-pointer to force overtime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Georgia coach Mark Fox picked up a win less than 24 hours after attending his father’s funeral in Garden City, Kan. … Clarkson added 12 for Missouri. … The game was both teams' first overtime contest of the season.
