North Carolina State 90, East Carolina 79: T.J. Warren scored a career-high 32 points as the Wolfpack held off the visiting Pirates.

Warren was 14-of-23 from the field in scoring 30 or more for the third time this season and grabbed eight rebounds for the Wolfpack (9-2), who have won seven straight games. Jordan Vandenberg had a career-best 18 points and Anthony Barber provided 16 points and a career-high eight assists.

Akeem Richmond, who entered the game with 49 made 3-pointers, the most in Division I, had 23 points, including five treys, for the Pirates (10-3). Caleb White added 14 points and four assists and Prince Williams chipped in with 12 points and four helpers as the Pirates fell to 0-57 in road games against Atlantic Coast Conference teams.

The Wolfpack needed every one of Warren's 25 first-half points as the Pirates started 12-of-21 and led by as many as nine points in the opening 10 minutes. After Paris Campbell hit a 3-pointer to put East Carolina up eight with 6:13 left, the Wolfpack closed with a 15-0 run, including eight by Warren, to go into halftime leading 45-38.

The Pirates wouldn't go away in the second half as Richmond hit three early 3-pointers to make it a one-point game, but the Wolfpack responded with nine unanswered points to go up 61-51 with 14:48 remaining. East Carolina followed with its own 9-0 run to trail by one with 12 minutes left, but never could regain the lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Warren was 11-of-17 and the Wolfpack had eight blocks, including five by Beejay Anya, in the first half. ... The Pirates had five offensive rebounds in the first five minutes, but none in the final 15 of the first half. ... The Wolfpack improved to 20-1 against the Pirates.
