Mississippi 75, Louisiana-Monroe 62: Marshall Henderson hit six 3-pointers en route to 26 points as the host Rebels pulled away in the second half.

Henderson finished 6-for-13 from 3-point range for Mississippi (8-2), on a night where the Rebels shot 40.7 percent from the field. LaDarius White scored 13 points with seven rebounds and seven assists.

Amos Olatayo scored 17 points and Jayon James added nine points, 11 rebounds and five assists for Louisiana-Monroe (3-3), which struggled despite outrebounding the Rebels 46-34. The Warhawks shot 37.9 percent and made just one shot from the field in the first 7:29 of the second half.

Mississippi seized upon Louisiana-Monroe’s cold shooting after intermission, using a 19-4 run to turn a 37-33 halftime advantage into a 56-37 cushion. Henderson knocked down 3-pointers on three consecutive possessions early in the half, and his three free throws with 16:51 remaining pushed the Rebels’ lead to 51-34.

The Warhawks kept the game close for a half, trailing by no more than five points in the opening 20 minutes and forging a tie at 25 on R.J. McCray’s three-point play with 6:12 left. White scored six points in the final six minutes of the half, and Henderson added a 3-pointer as the Rebels built their four-point lead at the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mississippi finished 10-for-25 from 3-point range against a Louisiana-Monroe defense that had held opponents to 22.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc. … The Rebels shot 21-for-27 from the free-throw line; the Warhawks went 5-of-10. … Henderson is averaging 26.7 points in his past three games, hitting 20 3-pointers.
