Wake Forest 72, Tulane 57: Coron Williams led the way with 18 points as the Demon Deacons pulled away late to crash the visiting Green Wave.

Williams went 4-of-7 from 3-point range and Codi Miller-McIntyre added 12 points for Wake Forest (7-2), which bounced back after dropping two of three in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. Tyler Cavanaugh chipped in 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting.

Louis Dabney scored a game-high 29 points for Tulane (4-5), which has dropped five straight games. Jonathan Stark added 10 points and five assists for the Green Wave.

Tulane went scoreless for more than four minutes in the first half as the Demon Deacons took off on a 10-0 run, highlighted by a pair of 3-pointers from Williams, to take control. Wake Forest led 34-27 at the half before the Green Wave made their move, beginning the second half with a 13-6 burst to tie the score at 40.

The Demon Deacons responded with another 10-0 run again keyed by Williams, who completed a three-point play and buried a 3-pointer to cap the run. The lead stretched to 68-54 on Devin Thomas’ three-point play with 3:09 left as Wake Forest cruised to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Demon Deacons reserve C Andre Washington blocked four shots but had a string of nine straight made field goals come to an end with a missed jumper midway through the first half. … Dabney went 11-for-16 from the floor while the rest of the Tulane players struggled to 11-for-37. … Wake Forest dominated the glass 39-24 and blocked nine shots.
