Arkansas 111, Southeastern Louisiana 65: Bobby Portis scored 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting to lead the host Razorbacks to an easy win over the Lions.

Coty Clarke added 15 points off the bench – going 10-of-11 from the free-throw line – while Rashad Madden chipped in with 10 for Arkansas (5-2). The Razorbacks shot 62.3 percent from the field for the game, including 9-of-18 from 3-point range.

Jeffery Ricard led Southeastern Louisiana (3-4) with 14 points while Dre Evans added 10. Eleven of the Lions’ 22 field goals came from 3-point range, but they committed 24 turnovers – leading to Arkansas’ 41-9 advantage in points off miscues.

It was a four-point game less than four minutes into the game when Arkansas put together a 19-2 run in just under five minutes to break the game open. The Razorbacks led by as many as 26 as 10 different players scored before settling for a 20-point halftime advantage.

The game was decided quickly after the break, as Arkansas went on a 29-3 run to open the second half, with Portis scoring 10 points during the stretch. The lead ballooned to 50 midway through the half and the Razorbacks cruised from there.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Arkansas shot 63 percent from the field in the first half, its best shooting half of the season. … Three technical fouls were called in the game, two on Southeastern Louisiana and one on Arkansas. … G JaMichael Hawkins entered the game leading the Lions in scoring at 14.3, but was 2-of-11 from the field – including 1-of-5 from 3-point range – and finished with five points.
