Clemson 65, South Carolina State 49: Devin Coleman scored a career-high 16 points as the Tigers subdued the visiting Bulldogs.

Coleman played a season-high 31 minutes and shot 5-for-11 from the field, including three 3-pointers for the Tigers (7-1). Landry Nnoko had a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds with four blocked shots, while K.J. McDaniels had a season-low seven points in the victory.

Devin Joint notched nine points and seven boards and Darryl Palmer added eight points and five rebounds for the Bulldogs (2-6). Season-leading scorer Matthew Hezekiah was limited to seven points.

The Bulldogs jumped out a 7-0 lead behind five points from Jordan Smith and enjoyed their biggest lead at 18-8 at the 10:25 mark before the Tigers, who opened 3-of-10 from the field, started making shots. Coleman scored 12 points to key a 14-4 run as the Tigers took their first lead at 23-22 with Clemson scoring the final seven points to go into the half with a 34-31 lead.

Nnoko and Jaron Blossomgame combined for the first 10 points of the second half for Clemson, which led 44-37 when McDaniels hit a 3-pointer for his first points to push the lead to 10 points. The Bulldogs then went over six minutes without scoring.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bulldogs did not attempt a free throw in the first half while Clemson made 6-of-7 from the line. ... Hezekiah had four points on 2-of-5 shooting in the first half. ... The Tigers improved to 12-1 against the Bulldogs.
