Mississippi 84, North Carolina A&T 50: Derrick Millinghaus scored a game-high 16 points and dished out four assists as the Rebels pulled away from the cold-shooting Aggies.

Jarvis Summers added 13 points and six assists for Ole Miss (4-0), which forced 21 turnovers – 12 in the first half. Aaron Jones chipped in with 11 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double for the Rebels, who made 10-of-22 attempts from 3-point range.

Lamont Middleton and Richaud Pack each scored 13 points to lead North Carolina A&T (1-4), which has lost four straight games. Bruce Beckford contributed nine points as the Aggies shot 25.5 percent from the field, making only 12 field goals.

The Rebels scored the game’s first nine points before North Carolina A&T battled back within three as Middleton scored 11 in the first half. Millinghaus also recorded 11 points in the opening 20 minutes for Ole Miss, which scored 15 of the final 19 to take a 47-33 lead at intermission.

The Aggies trimmed the deficit to 50-39 early in the second half before a Millinghaus 3-pointer and a Jones steal and dunk highlighted a run that put the game away. North Carolina A&T could not recover as the Rebels received points from 12 different players.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mississippi is 62-2 against non-conference opponents, including 23 straight wins, and is 103-19 overall at home since coach Andy Kennedy took over in 2006-07. … North Carolina A&T has five players back from its team that beat Liberty in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last season. … Mississippi G Marshall Henderson, averaging 17 points coming in, finished with eight on 2-of-6 shooting from beyond the 3-point arc in limited playing time.
