Xavier 93, Abilene Christian: 65: Semaj Christon scored a game-high 17 points to lead four players in double figures as the host Musketeers rolled in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.

Myles Davis had 15 points off the bench - all on 3-pointers - for Xavier (5-0), which amassed season-high point total. James Farr added 14 points and eight rebounds and fellow reserve Jalen Reynolds chipped in 11 points for the Musketeers, whose only deficit of the night was 2-0.

Harrison Hawkins finished with 15 points for the Wildcats (2-6). Abilene Christian came in averaging 20 made 3-pointers per game but finished for 9-for-24 from beyond the arc.

Abilene Christian got within 14-13 on the second of two free throws by LaDarrien Williams with just under 13 minutes left in the first half. But the Musketeers went on an 11-0 run - capped by a follow-up layup by Matt Stainbrook - to go up 25-13 with 8:38 before intermission.

The Wildcats, who trailed 39-31 at the break, got no closer than five points the rest of the way. Reynolds' second free throw with just inside five minutes left gave Xavier its largest lead at 85-57, which matched the game's final margin.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Iowa, Xavier's next opponent in the Battle 4 Atlantis, beat Abilene Christian 103-41 on Nov. 17. . . . Abilene Christian - formerly a Division II school - is re-classifying to Division I this season, which means it isn't eligible for Southland Conference postseason competition or the NCAA Tournament. . . . The Musketeers held a 45-21 edge on the boards and grabbed 16 offensive rebounds.
