South Florida 72, Stetson 63: Corey Allen Jr. scored 19 points and had six steals as the host Bulls withstood a valiant upset effort by the Hatters to stay unbeaten on the season.

Anthony Collins added 15 points and dished out six assists for South Florida, which is 4-0 for the first time since 2006. Martino Brock contributed 10 points for the Bulls, who forced 18 Stetson turnovers.

Willie Green led the offense with 20 points for the Hatters (0-5), who have lost five straight to start a season for the first time since 2005, when they started 0-10. Aaron Graham added 15 points, including 3-of-4 3-pointers for Stetson, which shot 52.8 percent from the field.

The teams headed to halftime knotted at 35-35 after a first half that saw South Florida lead by as many as five early and then neither team pull away by more than three before the break. Collins had eight points in the opening stanza to lead the Bulls, while Green's 10 paced Stetson.

After the break, the Hatters continued their push for an upset, scoring the second half's first six points and keeping South Florida from regaining the lead until a Brock putback put the Bulls ahead 53-52 with 8:29 to play. The teams would endure five more lead changes before a 12-2 run by South Florida, led by eight from Allen, closed things out.

GAME NOTEBOOK: South Florida has cruised by an average of just over 17 points in its four wins this season. ... Stetson G Raymone Andrews and F Leke Solanke fouled out 12 seconds apart just ahead of the 4:00 mark of the fourth quarter. ... The Bulls host No. 9 Oklahoma State on Monday.
