Dave Sobolewski scored a career-high 25 points as the visiting Wildcats evened their record with a decisive victory over the Flames.

Drew Crawford added 18 while Sanjay Lumpkin had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Northwestern (2-2), which put five scorers in double figures. Sobolewski was 4-for-8 from 3-point range and and had four rebounds and four assists for the Wildcats, who never trailed.

Jordan Harks recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds for Illinois-Chicago (1-3), which is still searching for its first victory over a Division I team this season. Kelsey Barlow added 10 for the Flames.

Sobolewski had 17 points in the first half, spurring Northwestern to a 23-9 run to start the game and a 47-22 halftime lead. The 47 points were a season-high in a half for the Wildcats, while the 22 marked a season-low for the Flames, who shot just 22.6 percent before the break.

The Wildcats kept their foot on the gas in the second half and finished at 60.8 percent from the field and 55 percent from 3-point range. The 93 points were the highest total for Northwestern since it scored 97 against Northern Illinois to open the 2010 season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The win for Northwestern snaps a four-game losing streak to Illinois-Chicago. … Sobolewski was just 3-for-9 from the free-throw line. … Flames guard Marc Brown was short of 20-point mark for first time this season with just seven in the contest.
