USC 76, Cal State Fullerton 62: Byron Wesley scored 22 points and Omar Oraby collected 15 points and nine rebounds as the host Trojans overcame a poor second half to record their third straight victory.

Pe'Shon Howard scored 11 points and freshman Julian Jacobs had a career-high 10 points for USC (3-1), which led 45-25 after shooting 59.3 percent in the first half. The Trojans remained unbeaten in four all-time meetings against Cal State Fullerton despite being outscored 37-31 in the second half.

Sheldon Blackwell led the Titans (2-2) with 14 points and Marquis Horne and Michael Williams added 10 apiece. Cal State Fullerton fell behind 18-3 to open the game and never fully recovered against the Trojans, who used 10 different players in the first half.

USC led by as many as 23 points early in the second half before the Titans came alive with 14 unanswered points over the next three minutes. Horne’s 3-pointer capped the unexpected outburst and cut the deficit to 57-47 with 12:20 to play.

The Titans remained within striking distance until Wesley scored five straight points to put USC ahead by 14 with 5:57 left. Cal State Fullerton was 5-of-21 from 3-point range and missed 11 of its 18 shots from the foul line.

GAME NOTEBOOK: USC G J.T. Terrell, the team’s second-leading scorer from last season, did not play for academic reasons. … The Trojans improved to 41-14 in non-conference games at the Galen Center, which opened in 2006. … Cal State Fullerton fell to 7-36 against teams currently in the Pac-12.
