Texas A&M 75, Prairie View A&M 65: Alex Caruso scored 15 points and registered six steals as the Aggies held on to beat the Panthers at home.

Caruso also had four assists and two blocks, and finished 6-for-10 shooting for the Aggies (4-0). Jamal Jones and Antwan Space each scored 12 points, and Shawn Smith added 12 points and eight rebounds.

Montrael Scott led the way with 20 points, including four 3-pointers, and three assists for the Panthers (1-3). John Brisco added 10 points and four assists, and Louis Munks recorded eight points and four rebounds.

Facing its biggest deficit at 54-33 with 11:25 remaining, the Panthers put together a 18-2 run during the next five minutes to get within 56-51. Caruso answered by breaking a seven-minute field-goal drought with the first 3-pointer of the night for the Aggies, who did just enough down the stretch to earn the victory.

After the teams traded the lead five times in the first six minutes, the Aggies held the Panthers scoreless for 6:10 while going on a 15-0 run to take a 24-11 lead with nine minutes remaining in the first half. Prairie View responded with a 9-2 spurt to make it 26-20, but Texas A&M owned the final five minutes and went into the break leading 40-26.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Fabyon Harris had five points for the Aggies in his return from a one-game absence due to a concussion. ... Texas A&M is shooting 18-for-68 from 3-point range through its first four games. ... The Aggies improved to 12-0 against the Panthers.
