Colorado 91, Tennessee-Martin 65: Josh Scott led a balanced attack with 15 points and eight rebounds to lift the Buffaloes in their home opener.

Freshman Wesley Gordon recorded 13 points and eight rebounds while Spencer Dinwiddie added 13 and six as Colorado (1-1) bounced back from a 72-60 loss to Baylor in Dallas on Friday. Xavier Johnson scored 12 points for the Buffaloes, who also got nine apiece from freshmen Dustin Thomas and Jaron Hopkins.

Marshun Newell and Terence Smith scored 15 points apiece for the Skyhawks (0-2), who made more 3-pointers (12) than shots from inside the arc (10). UT Martin was outrebounded 46-26.

Colorado trailed by six points early and didn't take the lead for good until Dinwiddie's dunk with 7:39 left made it 26-24. The Buffaloes shot 57.7 percent from the field and outscored UT Martin 22-4 in the paint in the opening 20 minutes, while Hopkins' jumper at halftime buzzer gave Colorado a 45-35 lead.

The Buffaloes couldn't shake the Skyhawks and a pair of Dee Oldham 3-pointers brought UT Martin to within 56-49 with 12:59 remaining. Colorado quickly re-established a double-digit advantage and took a 77-56 lead with 5:13 left following a 10-0 run - highlighted by Askia Booker's only two field goals of the contest.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Booker finished with six points after missing his first four shots from the field and is 7-for-22 to start the season. ... Dinwiddie was 9-for-10 from the free throw line while UT Martin was 9-for-17. Colorado converted 28-of-34 from the line. ... The Buffaloes kicked off a six-game homestand and then play in-state games at Air Force and Colorado State before hosting two more contests - including No. 6 Kansas on Dec. 7.
