Vanderbilt 64, Kentucky 48: Dai-Jon Parker scored 12 points and the Commodores continued their surprising run through the SEC tournament Friday, upending the second-seeded Wildcats.

Vanderbilt (16-16), the No. 10 seed, upset No. 7 Arkansas on Thursday night, advance to face Mississippi in the semifinals.

The Commodores shot 50 percent, including 8-of-17 from 3-point range. Kevin Bright finished with 11 points, Kyle Fuller and Kedren Johnson each added 10 and Rod Odom scored nine in the balanced Commodores' offense.

Kentucky (21-11) was paced by Archie Goodwin's 12 points and Kyle Witjer's 10. The Wildcats shot 34.6 percent, hitting 4-of-14 from beyond the arc.

Vanderbilt broke open a close game with a 19-7 run to end the first half, giving the Commodores a 14-point advantage at the break. Kentucky went on a 10-0 run To cut the lead to 11 with 12:46 left, but Vanderbilt responded with five straight points and the Wildcats never got that close again.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kentucky won the rebound battle 32-30, grabbing 14 offensive boards in the process. … Vanderbilt won its fifth straight SEC tournament game. The Commodores won three straight last year to capture the tournament title. … The Wildcats lost their SEC tournament opener for the first time since 2008.
