No.1 Gonzaga 65, No. 23 Saint Mary’s 51: Kelly Olynyk had 21 points and 12 rebounds as the Bulldogs captured the West Coast Conference tournament title with a strong performance in Las Vegas.

Elias Harris contributed 19 points for Gonzaga (31-2), which likely clinched its first No. 1 seed for the NCAA Tournament. The top-seeded Bulldogs qualified for the 15th consecutive year.

Stephen Holt had 19 points and seven rebounds to lead second-seeded Saint Mary’s (27-6). Matthew Dellavedova, who became the school’s all-time career scoring leader last week, was held to a career-low two points on 1-for-8 shooting.

The Bulldogs shot 64 percent from the floor while building a 38-29 halftime lead. The game began to slip away from the Gaels when they went 6:07 without scoring in the first half, allowing Gonzaga to turn a one-point deficit into an eight-point lead.

The Bulldogs scored the first five points of the second half to go ahead 43-29 and Saint Mary’s never got back within 11. Gonzaga shot 52.1 percent for the game, while the Gaels shot 35.7.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Saint Mary’s junior G Jorden Page suffered a right knee injury with 11:42 remaining in the first half and did not return. Page came into the game averaging 6.6 points. … Dellavedova, who scored seven points on 2-for-12 shooting in an overtime win against San Diego in the semifinals, hadn’t been held to single digits in consecutive games since December 2011. … Saint Mary’s lost three games in the last two months, all against Gonzaga.
