Indiana State 57, Miami (Fla.) 55 (OT): Jake Odum banked in a short floater from the lane with less than a second left in overtime to give the Sycamores third place at the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu.

Odum finished with nine points and six assists for Indiana State (7-4), which prevailed despite shooting just 27 percent from the field. Manny Arop and RJ Mahurin each scored 13 points to lead the Sycamores.

Kenny Kadji had 13 points, Durant Scott had 12 and Julian Gamble 11 for the Hurricanes (8-3), who were 0-of-15 from 3-point range. Miami, which got 11 rebounds from Trey McKinney-Jones, had its streak of 354 straight games with at least one 3-pointer snapped.

Indiana State trailed by as many as nine in the second half and was down seven with 3:33 left before rallying. Lucas Eitel drained a crucial 3-pointer and Mahurin made a pair of free throws with 16.9 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime tied at 49.

Miami’s biggest first-half lead was eight, but Indiana State responded with four 3-pointers to pull within 23-21 at halftime. Gamble had nine points inside and the Hurricanes missed all six of their 3-point attempts in the opening 20 minutes.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Miami center Reggie Johnson, averaging 12.6 points and 10.1 rebounds, missed his third straight game with a thumb injury. … Khristian Smith had 11 rebounds for Indiana State and Arop finished with 53 points in three tournament games. … Miami was just 11-of-21 from the free-throw line.
