Colorado 81, Murray State 74: Tournament MVP Askia Booker scored a career-high 23 points as the Buffaloes turned aside the Racers in the championship game of the Charleston (S.C.) Classic.

Booker’s 3-pointer capped an 11-1 run that turned a tied game into a 63-53 advantage for Colorado, which improved to 4-0 for the first time since 1998-99. Murray State climbed back within three, but Booker made a pull-up jumper with 1:34 remaining and the Buffaloes held on.

Andre Roberson scored 16 points, Spencer Dinwiddie had 14 and Josh Scott added 13 points, including a three-point play to make it 75-68 in the final minute. The Buffaloes also held All-American candidate Isaiah Canaan to six late points in the second half and 21 in the game.

Ed Daniel recorded 20 points and 10 rebounds for his second consecutive double-double and Dexter Fields added 18 points for Murray State (3-1).

Murray State led by as much as six in the first half. Colorado hung in and finished the half with a 16-8 run, capped by a Roberson tap-in at the buzzer for a 33-31 lead. Booker registered 14 points in the opening 20 minutes and Roberson added 10.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Stacy Wilson, who averaged almost 21 points the first three games for the Racers, was 0-for-7 from the field in the first half and 3-of-13 overall for eight points. … Colorado made 27-of-36 from the free-throw line after making just 4 of 18 in the semifinal. … Roberson had nine rebounds and finished with 35 in three-game tournament.
