Murray State 72, St. John’s 67: Stacy Wilson scored 23 points, including eight down the stretch, as the Racers came from behind to beat the Red Storm in the semifinals of the Charleston (S.C.) Classic.

St. John’s led 59-52 with seven minutes to go before Murray State (3-0) scored 12 consecutive points, including 3-pointers by Wilson and Isaiah Canaan. Wilson, a South Carolina native, hit another 3-pointer for a 67-62 lead and sealed it on a dunk with 10 seconds remaining to put the Racers in the championship game against Colorado on Sunday.

D’Angelo Harrison led all scorers with 27 points for St. John’s (2-1), playing its third game in four days. JaKarr Sampson added 14 points for the Red Storm, who will play Baylor in the third-place game on Sunday.

Ed Daniel recorded 15 points and 11 rebounds for Murray State. Canaan finished with 15 points and Dexter Fields 11, including a key steal and basket to tie the game at 59.

St. John’s led by as much as 13 in the first half, keyed by 11 points from Harrison. Murray State picked up its defense and responded with a 13-3 run to end the half to pull within 35-32.

GAME NOTEBOOK: St. John’s swingman Marc-Antoine Bourgault was declared eligible by the NCAA on Friday and played briefly in the first half without scoring. … Harrison has 70 points in the first three games of the season. … Murray State held St. John’s to 2-of-14 from 3-point range in the first meeting between the two programs.
