Baylor 81, No. 3 Kansas 58: Senior Pierre Jackson had 28 points and 10 assists as the Bears denied the visiting Jayhawks the outright Big 12 Conference title.

Junior Cory Jefferson went 11-of-13 for a career-high 25 points for the Bears (18-13, 9-9), who will be the sixth seed at the Big 12 tournament. Jackson, the first player to lead the Big 12 in scoring and assists, went 11-of-13 from the field and recorded his second double-double of the season.

Freshman Ben McLemore had 23 points for the Jayhawks (26-5, 14-4), who will be the top seed at the conference tournament but have to share the regular-season title with Kansas State. Freshman Perry Ellis had 12 points, including six during Kansas' late comeback try.

Jefferson's jumper put the Bears up 61-44 with 9:56 left but Kansas scored the next 11 points. Baylor answered with a 17-2 run, capped by Jackson's emphatic dunk, to seal the upset.

Kansas never led after scoring the game's first basket. Jeff Withey got the Jayhawks within 30-28 with a free throw with 2:23 left but Baylor finished the first half on a 7-0 run, including Jefferson's second career 3-pointer.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Jefferson went 3-of-3 from the 3-point line after never making a 3-pointer in his first 85 career games. He entered the game 0-of-4 this season from beyond the arc. ... Baylor scored 19 points off 13 turnovers and outscored the Jayhawks 44-24 in the paint. ... It was Baylor's first win against Kansas in its last 13 regular-season meetings.
