Nick Johnson scored 17 points to lead the host Wildcats past the Sun Devils and give Arizona the No. 4 seed and a first-round bye in next week’s Pac-12 tournament.

Kevin Parrom had 13 points and seven rebounds to help Arizona (24-6, 12-6 Pac-12) snap a two-game losing streak. Solomon Hill added 12 points and four rebounds and four assists, and Kaleb Tarczewski chipped in nine points and a game-high eight rebounds for the Wildcats, who improved to 14-2 at home.

Carrick Felix scored a game-high 22 points to lead Arizona State (20-11, 9-9), which lost its fourth straight game. Jahii Carson added 15 points for the Sun Devils, who fell to 4-6 on the road.

Arizona took a 29-18 lead after a 13-3 run that was capped by Hill’s 3-pointer with 5:50 left in the first half. The Wildcats went on a 7-0 run to end the first half and took a 40-25 lead into intermission.

The Sun Devils cut it to 50-45 on Chris Colvin’s jumper with 10:46 remaining but Johnson scored seven points during a 7-0 run to give the Wildcats a 57-45 lead with 8:56 to play. Arizona improved to 144-80 in the series and has won 30 of the last 38 meetings, including 71-54 on Jan. 19 in Tempe.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Arizona is 26-4 in regular-season home finales over the last 29 years. … Arizona State, which blocked six shots and has a school-record 195, is closing in on UCLA’s conference record of 199 blocks set in 2010-11. … Arizona State junior C Jordan Bachynski blocked three shots, giving him 113 and tying him for second place on the Pac-12 single-season blocked shots list with former Sun Devil Rodger Farrington, who had 113 in 1996-97. Former Sun Devil Mario Bennett holds the record of 115 set in 1994-95.
