North Carolina State 82, Boston College 64: Freshman Rodney Purvis scored a career-high 21 points to lead all scorers as the host Wolfpack rolled over the visiting Eagles.

Five players tallied double-digit point totals for North Carolina State (20-8, 9-6 ACC), which got back on track after a loss to archrival North Carolina last time out. Scott Wood finished with 17 points – including five 3-pointers – while T.J. Warren notched 13, Lorenzo Brown added 11 and leading scorer C.J. Leslie pitched in 10.

Lonnie Jackson scored 16 points to lead the offense for Boston College (12-16, 4-11), which lost its seventh consecutive road game. Ryan Anderson and Olivier Hanlan – the ACC's top-scoring freshman – each contributed 12 points for the Eagles, who were outrebounded 39-25.

North Carolina State controlled the play early, grabbing an early 22-6 advantage before 11 unanswered points from Boston College made it a game. The Wolfpack settled on a 33-27 lead into the break after the Eagles had pulled to within three late in the half.

The Eagles stayed within five points early in the second half but could get no closer down the stretch.

GAME NOTEBOOK: North Carolina State evened up the all-time series at eight games apiece and has won five consecutive against Boston College. ... The Eagles fell to 2-17 in their last 19 road games. ... The Wolfpack improved to 15-1 on their home court this season, only falling to Miami 79-78 on Feb. 2.
