Penn State 84, No. 4 Michigan 78: Jermaine Marshall scored 25 points and Ross Travis added 15 poitns and 12 rebounds as the host Nittany Lions rallied from a 15-point second-half deficit to snap a 14-game losing streak with a stunning upset of the Wolverines.

D.J. Newbill chipped in 17 points for Penn State (9-18, 1-14 Big Ten), which had not won since Dec. 29 and was in danger of becoming the first team to go winless in Big Ten play since Northwestern in the 1999-2000 season.

Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 19 points and Trey Burke added 18 for Michigan (23-5, 10-5), which has lost four of its last seven games after a 20-1 start. Nik Stauskas contributed 12 points and eight rebounds and Jordan Morgan chipped in 11 points.

The Nittany Lions hung around throughout the first half and led 34-32 with two minutes left. Michigan managed a 39-36 lead at halftime and scored the first eight points of the second half to break it open.

The Wolverines pushed the margin as wide as 66-51 before Penn State stormed back. Marshall hit three 3-pointers and converted a three-point play as the Nittany Lions rallied to tie it at 74, and he put them ahead with a pair of free throws with 3:55 left. Michigan didn't make a field goal for the final 6:37.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Penn State had lost 18 consecutive conference games dating to last season. … The Nittany Lions snapped a six-game losing streak against Michigan. … Michigan was 5-for-20 from 3-point range and 13-for-20 from the free-throw line.
