Vanderbilt 72, Mississippi State 31: Kevin Bright scored 15 points to lead three Commodores in double digits as visiting Vanderbilt logged its most lopsided win of the season.

Rod Odom added 13 points and Sheldon Jeter contributed 11 points for Vanderbilt (11-15, 5-9 SEC), which got a career-high 13 rebounds from guard Dai-Jon Parker. The Commodores posted their highest point total of the season in a conference game, held Mississippi State to 17.5 percent shooting and outrebounded the Bulldogs by a 51-20 margin.

Jalen Steele led the Bulldogs (7-19, 2-12) with nine points. Mississippi State has lost 12 consecutive conference games -- setting a school record.

Mississippi State came out flat, missing its first 10 shots from the field and falling behind 23-6. The Bulldogs were even worse from 3-point range, missing 12 shots beyond the arc before Trivante Bloodman made one with 17:50 left in the second half.

Vanderbilt led 37-17 at the half and opened the second period on a 14-3 run to remove any doubt. The Commodores collected their second conference road win of the season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 41-point margin was tied for Mississippi State's second-largest loss ever at Humphrey Coliseum. ... Vanderbilt, which came in as the SEC's least-potent offensive team at 59.6 points, is averaging 71 points in its past two games. ... The Commodores' top scorer, Kedren Johnson, shot 1-of-5 from the floor and tallied only three points.
