Wake Forest 80, No. 2 Miami-Florida 65: C.J. Harris scored a game-high 23 points to lead the host Demon Deacons to an upset of the Hurricanes, who had been unbeaten in ACC play.

Codi Miller-McIntyre scored 15 points to help Wake Forest (12-14, 5-9 ACC) improve to 10-4 at home. Devin Thomas added 10 points and eight rebounds and Travis McKie had eight points, five blocks and 10 rebounds for the Demon Deacons, who came in having lost eight of their previous 10 games.

Durand Scott scored 17 points to lead Miami (22-4, 13-1), which had its 14-game win streak snapped. Shane Larkin added 13 points, Trey McKinney Jones had 11 and Kenny Kadji chipped in 10 points and six rebounds for the Hurricanes, who fell to 10-2 on the road.

Wake Forest led 42-29 at halftime, powered by Harris’ 15 points on 5-for-5 shooting from 3-point range. Miami, which trailed by as many as 19 points in the first half, cut it to 50-45 on Scott’s jumper with 12:28 remaining, but Harris responded with a dunk and the Demon Deacons pulled away.

Wake Forest shot 54.2 percent from the field and was 7-for-12 from 3-point range, while Miami shot 39.1 percent from the field and was 8-for-21 from long distance. The Demon Deacons improved to 9-6 in the series against the Hurricanes.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wake Forest fans began chanting “overrated” with 2:14 to play and jubilant students stormed the court after the game. … Miami senior F/C Julian Gamble picked up his fourth foul with 17:43 to play and finished with two points and five rebounds. … The Demon Deacons were 21-for-31 shooting from the foul line, while the Hurricanes were 7-for-13.
