Boston College 69, Maryland 58: Olivier Hanlan scored a career-high 26 points as the host Eagles pulled away in the final five minutes to win for the second time in three games.

Hanlan, a freshman from Quebec, scored 19 points after intermission as Boston College (12-14, 4-9 ACC) rallied from a seven-point halftime deficit. Lonnie Jackson added 13 points and Eddie Odio contributed eight points, a career-high 11 rebounds and six blocks off the bench.

Logan Aronhalt scored a season-high 26 points for Maryland (18-8, 6-7), shooting 7-for-12 from 3-point range. The starters for Maryland – many of which played key roles in defeating Duke on Saturday – combined to score a total of 22 points and shoot 9-for-32 from the floor.

Maryland took more than four minutes to score its first points but led by as much as eight in the first half before taking a 33-26 lead into the break. Aronhalt, who entered Tuesday averaging 5.8 points, made 3-pointers on three straight possessions in the final two minutes to give him 15 first-half points.

Boston College warmed up in the second half, scoring eight straight points to take a 43-38 advantage. Maryland – which was 17-1 this season when holding a lead with five minutes remaining – fell behind for good at 51-50 on two free throws by Jackson with 5:04 left, sparking a 12-0 run.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Maryland point guard Pe’Shon Howard returned following a one-game suspension for violating team rules and finished with five points and three assists. … Aronhalt played the last three seasons at Albany, where he graduated with a degree in kinesiology. … Boston College shot 21-of-22 from the foul line, the third time in four games it hit at least 85 percent of its free throws.
